Altar Guild Important Message to all Ladies of the Congregation:
There will be an Altar Guild meeting March 18, 2010, at 7:00 pm. This is an important and informative meeting as Pastor Pierce will go over the colors of the seasons and some important matters pertaining to the care and placement of the church furnishings.
For those of you who have expressed an interest in Altar Guild, here is a brief rundown: The Altar Guild is concerned with the things of worship -- from care and placement of furnishings to ornaments used in worship. That includes setting up for communion Sundays, making sure the paraments are the right color, keeping the altar cloths clean, etc. Four to five ladies are assigned to each month so that means only having to set up for communion once or twice a year, and two ladies work together. We only have one meeting a year.
Please mark March 18, at 7:00 pm on your calendar. This is a very important meeting (we haven't had one this year), and there are new ladies who have expressed an interest in Altar Guild. So whether you are a member, would like to become a member, or whether you just want to know the purpose of Altar Guild, come join us!
Nursery Roll - “Noah’s Ark”
We are setting up a new St. Paul’s Nursery Roster. If you have a child; newborn - 3 years old, please contact the church office. You will receive a starter packet and gifts for your child along the way, to remind them of how special they are in God’s family.
Membership Records & Information Forms
Enclosed with this month’s newsletter are two forms - Membership Record and Membership information. Please fill out these forms and return to the church office by March 31st. The Membership Records form for each individual in the family, and the information on this form is for the church office use only. If you need more copies please contact the office.
The information on the Membership information form will be used in various ways; One to help the pastor or other members who may need volunteers for a project (either a one time project or committee or general help around the church). Other information on this form will help when we begin putting our new membership directory together.
We are looking for any news articles, pictures, obits, or any organization information available since 2005, that can be used by St. Paul’s historians. Please turn this information in to the office. Thank You.
