PTL BAKE SALE
Our PTL is holding a Bake Sale at Pamida this Saturday, March 22nd beginning at 9:00 a.m. You can bring baked items to Pamida, at that time, or you can call Denise Hostetler at 284-4572 to have your items picked up. Call Denise if you can give an hour that morning to help sell the baked goods. Proceeds from the sale will help provide funds toward our playground. Thanks for your support!
All School Dinner Theater
Plans are under-way for our annual dinner theater. The PTL will be sending a note telling you what your family is to donate. Our goal is to have no cost to the dinner so that all proceeds will go toward the playground fund. The children in Preschool - 4th grades are practicing their part for the production, “You Gotta Be Joshin Us”.
Encourage Reading
Each child is challenged to read 10 books in grades 1-4. The total number of books to get Mrs. Dobbertien on the roof is 190. At the present time the total is 51. Challenge your child to meet the goal by listening to him/her read. You could read a page and then the child reads a page.
Easter Break
We’ll have the opportunity to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus on Sunday March 23rd. We will not have school on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Monday. Classes will resume on Tuesday March 25th. Plan to worship during Holy week on Thursday 7:00 p.m., Friday 7:00 p.m. and on Easter Sunday 7:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Happy Easter!!
No Sunday School Easter Sunday
This Sunday there will be no Sunday School for children. Sunday School will resume on the 30th.
Science Fair
Families enjoyed observing students demonstrate their science experiments on Monday evening. The scientific process was evident in many of the displays. Thanks to parents and children for making the evening a success. Parents should pick up the project by this afternoon.
Lutheran Schools’ Week
We had a great week. The children enjoyed their servant events of trash pick up and stocking the pantry shelves. Our day in which we dressed up as a book character was fun, as well as educational, as the children shared reading in their chapel family groups. Many families enjoyed doughnuts and devotions on Wednesday. Finally on Thursday all enjoyed a backwards day.
